Judge McQuade is
a former United States District Court Judge (N.D.
W.D. Ohio) and is well known for his unique
ability to successfully resolve disputes.
Colleagues and legal practitioners note that
Judge McQuade is a skilled listener and intuitive
thinker. Recognized by his peers, he served
as Chairman of the Court Redistricting Committee
of the Ohio Supreme Court and the Ohio
Legislature, and as Chairman of the Ohio Supreme
Court Committee to Reform Judicial Canons. Judge
McQuade also regularly served on the United
States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit,where he
authored a number of opinions. Judge McQuade is a past president of
both The Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association and
the Ohio Prosecuting Attorney's Association.

Judge McQuade has
a broad range of business experience. He is the
former President of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of
Ohio and served on the Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Board for over twenty years. He has completed
coursework at The Wharton School of Business at
The University of Pennsylvania, The Univerisity
of Michigan, and Case Western University.

Judge McQuade is

Litigation/Corporate Shareholder
Disputes: Shareholder derivative suits
and partnership rights are common topics
of his mediations. His business
experience gives him a quick
understanding of the issues and provides
a basis for his unique, innovative
strategies to solve issues.
Personal Injury/Wrongful
Death: These disputes occupy the greatest
number of cases mediated by Judge
McQuade. His years of experience with
jury verdicts puts him in a unique
position to accurately assess settlement
values from an evaluation of liability
and damages.
Environment/Toxic Torts:
He has presided over several superfund
cases while serving the United States
Courts. Since that time, he has
successfully mediated superfund and toxic
tort cases involving air, ground, and
waterborne chemical dispersion.
Class Action Lawsuits: He
has resolved a number of class action
lawsuits for many Fortune 500 companies.
Judge McQuade has been called upon time
and again to give his opinion as to the
faireness of class action
settlements. He is familiar with
the subtleties needed to craft successful
solutions.
Employment Disputes: A
large part of Judge McQuade's mediation
practice involves resolving Title VII and
ADA type disputes.
